Hatchet Camp is a week-long adventure in the wild. We have based the week off of the book “Hatchet”, by Gary Paulsen. Campers will benefit from reading the book prior to attending as it will give them good background knowledge on how they are to navigate and thrive throughout the week. There will be many challenges and accomplishments experienced by the campers. It is a week of fun where teamwork and communication are a must!
Campers will learn how to use tools such as flint and steel, hatchets and folding saws in appropriate ways. They will also learn how to start a fire, boil water and build shelters. All campers will be require to follow the strict safety rules when using the tools.
